Barnsley Belle of the Blades, Jenna Downing is a 22 year old champion inline skater from Tyke Town, South Yorkshire, England.

Raised by a remarkably supportive single Mother, Jenna's skating achievements belie her youth and she is regarded as a British rollerblading institution.

Having picked her first skates up at seven years old it took just five years for Jenna to turn pro. Becoming a professional at 12 meant she was the youngest female to do so and ten years on this record still stands. Within that decade Jenna has gone on to be a 10x British Champion, an X-Games silver medalist at 13 years old and the 2008 LG Action Sports World Champ.

Adding to our alliterative description; the Brainy...Barnsley Belle of the Blades is a grade A pupil. She achieved mostly As and A*s in her 10 GCSEs and 4 A-Levels and has recently graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Sheffield.

Her sporting, educational and life achievements make her the perfect role model and mentor; so when not skating she is a Sporting Ambassador (awarded in 2004), a Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust "Harnessing Talent Athlete," a mentor on the Respect Athlete Programme (RAMP), and a sporting champion on the Sky Living for Sport youth volunteering projects (backed by Sport England and Youth Sport Trust).

Jenna's virtues also make her a sponsors dream and her patrons include almost everyone that matters in the inline skate world: Razor Skates, Loco Skates, Rocket Dog, Nutcase and Black Flys!

However these deals and her future hung in the balance last year when she suffered a career threatening injury, dislocating her knee whilst in competition.

Now after major rounds of reconstructive ACL surgery Jenna's back on her skates and forming one part of an inline team she's tackling her biggest challenge yet; impressing the judging panel on Britain's Got Talent.
