This multi-talented young lady is Shaka Lish. She is a singer, songwriter, vocalist, dancer, dance teacher, choreographer, actress, dj, entrepreneur, yoga enthusiast, keen swimmer and runner....phew!
Shaka is amongst a handful of up and coming artists set to stove the UK Urban Pop scene's fire in 2011! Her musical influences are wide and varied but it is the Pop, Rock, RnB, Hip Hop and Dance works of Brandy, Annie Lennox, Aaliyah, Donna Summer and Madonna that have truly shaped her style.
As a dancer possessing bags of natural sassiness Shaka's performances never fail to entertain and rouse her audience. It is this ability that commands our attention throughout her solo urbanesque ballet in the music video for Solid State's "1982":
