It seems we are not the only ones obsessed with Brazil. Nike, too share our love for God's gift to South America. Having won the rights to supply the Brazilian Olympic team uniforms the brand is looking to make Brazilians fall in love with them.
Recently, they opened Latin America's first brand experience store in Rio de Janeiro, and last week they flexed some real advertising muscle in their latest commercial for the Brazilian market. By the look of the ad, the pre-Olympic foreplay between Nike and Brazil is on.
Using our YouTube caption aided Portuguese this is how the ad's narration goes:
"We've always believed God is Brazilian.
And that we don't write our own destiny.
Like if the responsibility for our greatness wasn't ours.
It was from a magical force around us.
The reality is our greatness won't fall on our lap.
Because greatness doesn't come from above.
