Essential Foot Furniture...

[Havaianas at dawn on Ipanema beach]

Throughout our stay in Brazil there wasn't a trip taken without our trusty Havaiana flip flops. Either they were on our feet or in our rucksack soon to be put on our feet.

The first pair of Havaianas were made in 1962 and were inspired by the Japanese Zori sandals. The design of the iconic flip flops to this day incorporate a textured rice pattern on the sole, which is a nod to the Zori sandals' rice straw soles.

To find your nearest stockists head on over to the official Havaianas site.
