Norway's Urban Tribe...

Urban Tribe are a collective of inspirational self-taught female dancers from Norway. Afro Street, Coupé Décale, Ndombolo, Ragga Dancehall, Hip Hop and Modern are combined to create Urban Tribe's unique Afrofusion style.

The sentiments of the group are as impressive as their moves. Created in 2008 by the group's charismatic leader, Carina ‘Keiko’ Steiro (pic: third lady from the left), Urban Tribe aims to promote different humanitarian projects through African inspired dance and to encourage young women to use dance as a positive and artistic way of expressing themselves.

Having won a bounty of awards, gained the recognition of professional dancers and appearing on countless tv shows the group is often called upon to accompany African, Dancehall and Hip Hop musicians when they perform in Western Europe.

If you haven't seen the girls in action already you can expect them to be hitting a tv screen near you very soon. But in the meantime between time here's your first dose of Urban Tribe...
