The ladies have demanded that we pay as much attention to the fizzYcaL fellas as we do to the femme fizzYcaLs. Backing us into a corner we've been forced to pay homage to George "Hit" Richards, the first of many "proper" fizzYcaL fella profiles. So here we go....
At the age of 37, American, Bronx Born fitness model and personal trainer Hit Richards has the physique and agility of a man more than half his age. His workout repertoire contains some break from the norm exercises which include: Scorpion Push Ups, Tiger Bends, Handstand Push Ups, Flags and Flag Push Ups.
Built like a bodybuilder but possessing the strength and flexibility of a gymnast or yogi, Hit's feats have made him quite probably one of the most watched calisthenicians on youtube.
His regular uploads, facebook updates and twitter tweets along with his dvds have inspired thousands of people world wide to take charge and get in shape! The results he's achieved have been motivation to many, including this blogger, to make the bar a key ingredient in their workout plan.
Like his moves his approach to personal training is well tailored and flexible. Passionate about the profession Hit is highly qualified in the fitness arts. He holds no less than 15 international personal training qualifications which include pre-natal and golf fitness. There is no doubt, that along with motivating others as muse, he is well able to translate and articulate the passion of staying fit to his clients.
Forming part of the original crowd leading the no frills fitness renaissance, Hit has become one of the most connected men in the underground bar movement and one of the main protagonists in its rise to the mainstream. As a result he is a media regular and the healthy lifestyle poster boy for the New York press.
When not on the tv or in print Hit also spreads the positives of bodyweight training and staying in shape through his organisation the Calisthenic Kingz, led by himself and his New Zealand business partner, Kylie. The Calisthenic Kingz aim is to empower and "Challenge YOU to Challenge Yourself" through calisthenics.
The simple formula that Hit offers to those wishing to take up the challenge? "The Four D's - Drive, Dedication, Discipline and Determination."
Very impressive! And that body.....wow!
