This is BS!!!

The Ball Squat is an often thought of girlie exercise which with the aid of dumbbells transforms into a slightly more ugh acceptable, macho friendly leg builder.

Place two dumbbells a few inches away from the wall and position a swiss ball between the wall and the small of your back. Adjust your feet so that they are slightly forward and you are leaning back into the ball. A narrow stance will work the front part of your legs (quads) and a wider stance with feet pointed outward will put emphasis on your buttocks (glutes) and inner thighs (adductors).

Lower slowly and pick up the dumbbells. Push through your heels to return you to standing and squeeze your quads and glutes at the top. Lower again and try and touch the dumbbells to the floor. Push through heels and return to standing and squeeze. Rinse and repeat. Make sure to keep your abs tight throughout the move.
